About the Name
In Nick Park's incomparable "A Grand Day Out" (1989), Wallace and Gromit build themselves a rocket ship so that they can go to the moon for a cheese holiday. You see, the moon is made out of cheese, so what better place for a holiday?
It was the late 90's and I was trying out this new app from Yahoo called Instant Messenger. I must have watched the DVD for the Nth time recently because when prompted for a username the first thing that came to mind was "cheeseholiday". Needless to say no one else had taken that name yet and little did I know that my Yahoo name would, over the years, become so inextricably linked to my online (and offline) identity. When it was time to set up my personal site, there really was no question what it would be called and cheeseholiday.com was born.
About the Name
A few years ago I left a comfortable job to spend some time travelling and seeing the world. I haven't stopped since.
