In 1977 when Professor Manolis Andronikos believed he’d uncovered the tomb of Philip II and the mythical burial site of the Kings of Macedon it was apparently the miniature ivory carved heads of Philip and Alexander that helped authenticate the find.
I believe the left one is Alexander although I’m not sure if that’s Philip on the right or not. They’re exquisite little things no bigger than a thumb but astonishingly detailed and life-like.
