The Cappadocian region in central Turkey is a fantastic and fantastical place. Geology has done some freakish things to the terrain. Prehistoric volcanic eruptions left the landscape coated in soft rock which over time has eroded into whimsical and surreal surroundings. Half of the fun of the place is just staring at weirdness and trying not to giggle.
