The Damascus souk is an irresistible location for anyone with photographic pretensions like myself. While it’s a bit more sterilized than Aleppo’s, a good poke around and a bit of patience is soon rewarded. I found this winning little scene in the back of a carpenter’s shop during an evening wander.
