Old Town Transylvania
Sighişoara, Romania

The medieval walled city of Sighişoara was built in the 12th century by German immigrants hired by the King of Hungary to defend his borders. It’s an atmospheric place with a well-preserved old town, a hill-top citadel and a striking 14th century clock tower overlooking the maze of cobbled streets and enclosed squares.
